Samuel J. Butero
I graduated from the University of California at Davis in 1998 with a B.S. in Agricultural and Managerial Economics. I began my health and wellness journey at a UCSF biotech incubator fund, as a Junior Analyst forming business plans for seed investments. Coming from a family of farmers, I took great interest in natural remedies and their effectiveness at treating certain issues we all have with our bodies. I also found there were a lot of companies making claims that were not reflected in the efficacy of their products. I set out to license some emulsion technology that increased the bioavailability of natural ingredients to the body. I co-founded Stenergy with my wife Leyla. We set out to change the natural supplement business.
Leyla J. Butero
I have dealt with body issues for the most part of my adult life. I have been to numerous doctors and other specialists who are baffled by my body's resistance to prescribed solutions. Having 2 children only complicated my health issues. I was then diagnosed again with PCOS and was driven to find solutions in nature. I co-founded Stenergy with my husband Sam to not only increase the effectiveness of certain supplements, but to find natural products that clearly indicate a lot of potential to specifically help women.
I am a producer, writer and photographer and helped build the Jessica Simpson brand. I am a producer and writer, known for Employee of the Month (2006), Flashing Lights and Filthy Rich: Cattle Drive (2005).
